At first, I only thought about writing a blog with the topic “Tattoos”. Later, It occurred to me , why not write about my own sister's tattoo studio. First let's talk about it and then go on with the facts behind tattoos. As said at the topic, the name is “ALBATROSS TATTOOS”. You can check it out in Instagram under the same name. It is in Coimbatore , Tamil nadu.

Starting with the topic , many of us would have felt at least once to get tattooed even if it is of a small size. But we don't because either we might be afraid of the pain especially the look of the very long needles or worry about the money it could cost us.

There are both permanent and temporary tattoos. These temporary tattoos does not hurt and will fade away with time . But , permanent tattoos cannot be erased except by laser treatment which is much more painful than getting a tattoo.

Tattoo is a design or pattern that is printed on our skin by puncturing the skin with the use of needles and fill color in it. In Olden days people used their hands to do this. Even now this method is being practiced at some places. But nowadays most people prefer machines to print tattoos which is very handy and comfortable. We also have machines that look exactly like pens except it is pointed with a needle. Some of these machines can also be powered first and then used that is there is no need to plug in all the time. The interesting thing about this is the symbols or patterns that we want have meanings which makes it more special.

It is an art form which makes changes to our body with our will. I know some people are against this act but it is their personal wish and I am definitely not against them.

This art form has been alive since the ancient period. The tools that have been used in those periods were found in places around France, Portugal and Scandinavia. Physical proof of ancient tattoo had been found on an ancient mummy.

  • Practiced as a culture by Germans and Celtic tribes
  • Used as a form of healing and religious worship in Europe and India
  • Also used to mark someone(slaves) so they can be identified easily or used as punishment
  • Helps to relieve from health issues
