In India, every house at some point of time, brought home a stray puppy. This event is then generally followed by arguments and debates whether or not to keep the puppy as a pet. Then either there is one more member added to the family or the discussion is postponed until a new puppy is brought home again.
This being so typical, I have been through it a lot of times. 10 years ago we took a big step. We brought a Labrador puppy. That was when I used to attend school, so I never had time to play and care for the puppy, whom we called JIMMY. My parents had to do all the necessary, but they had their jobs too. So in 6 months we decided to return him.
That was heart breaking. 10 years passed by when recently I made my Instagram account. This Instagram MY GOD! It is flooded with cute puppy pictures, sweet moments between the owner and the pets. And I couldn't control my obsession. I got so desperate that I just wanted a dog. Full grown, middle aged or a puppy. Indie or any thing, it just didn't matter anymore.
That was when we met KHANDU. He was a famished stray dog. We met him at a dhaba by a highway. My dad just loved him at the first sight. He was black, white, brown all colors mixed up to make him just perfect. We decided to take him home and that was it. My wish was almost complete.
Almost because I wanted my puppy to follow me all around, and that was yet to happen. Its been 4 months he is with us. He has grown up a little, not full grown yet. He has bit off so many wires, peed all around the house and all that stuff. We don't tie him up. He does to not like it. He is very well mannered now.
But most important of all is that he is always with me, everywhere I go. My dad trained him to sit on the scooty and he has got that really good. Even if you don't want him to accompany you he will. All you have to do is start your engine and there he is on board.
I love him. He really does make me smile everyday, by his cuteness. I get up in the morning and the first thing I talk of is him!!!!!
