Hello Friends! How are you ? I hope that you are quite well and doing well in your life.

Today I am here with Bhagwad Gita - Chapter 2, Verse 2.  So, Let's start

                                              VERSE 2

                                          TRANSLATION

The Supreme Person [Bhagavän] said: My dear Arjuna, how have these impurities come upon you? They are not at all befitting a man who knows the progressive values of life. They do not lead to higher planets, but to infamy.

                                               PURPORT

In this verse, It is stated that when Arjuna denies fighting and his eyes are filled with tears with sorrow arising from the feeling to fight with his own relatives, Then Lord Krishna asks him that how such type of impurities and inferior thoughts came to his mind because Arjuna was a great warrior (Kshatriya) and a Kshatriya never ignore his duty in any situation, whether there is a question of his life, he never turns back from his duty.

But, Arjuna denied fighting the battle and thus ignoring his duty and at the time, when both troops of Kauravas and Pandavas were ready for battle. So, he was never expected to behave like that.

Lord Krishna explains to him that such type of works doesn't lead to higher planets because for a Great Warrior (Kshatriya), there are only two results beneficial and respectful which are Victory or Sacrifice of life on the battlefield, Otherwise, he is considered to be a coward.

Such type of people, who doesn't follow their duty honestly, go to lower planets after death and when living, they have to face so much disrespect and sarcasm. Nowadays, we can see that many officials are arrested due to taking bribes and they have to face so much disrespect in society because they don't perform their duty honestly.

The persons who know about duties and following duties are called ‘Aryas' and who does not know about his duties, he is called ‘Anarya’. So Arjuna was not expected to behave like Anaryas. In his selfishness, he forgot his relatives, who were in his troop and who were fighting with him. Also, he had forgotten about the people of his kingdom, who needed a good king like Yudhishthira, not like Duryodhana ( eldest kaurava among all 100 Kauravas )who just wanted to be a king for his personal satisfaction and for making slaves to others.

So, here it is finished. Now, see you in the next blogs.
