MGR was engaged in election campaigning in a car named Usilambatti in Marai district.

He was campaigning in an open van in a crowded area when someone threw a paper packet at him.

As MGR was about to leave, the package fell into the hand of one of his bodyguards who was standing near him. Some people got very angry when they saw cow dung splashing down from it.
Someone threw cow dung on the leader. "Find him and catch him," someone shouted

When MGR came to know that it was cow dung, he immediately said on the mic, “No one should be angry. It was not cow dung that was thrown at me; "Flower package" he said

Immediately the people nearby said, “No! Look here… it is cow dung.” They pointed out the dung to him.

MGR replied, “So let's think of that dung as a flower. What is going to decrease" he said after listening to his generous speech
