A Journey To Healthy Self

"Health is a journey not a destination"

I was so captivated by this thought and today I understood it's real meaning when it has been 6 months of me being into this journey of improving myself inch by inch, percentage by percentage and day by day.

During lockdown I gained some extra kilos and I felt there is a need to make a change in my lifestyle and shed those extra kilos. Sitting at home following work from home routine led to a series of health issues which were pain in neck, back pain ,constipation, hair fall. So as soon as the lockdown ended I decided to hit the gym but unfortunately they were all closed so I decided to go for a walk in nearby park and one fine day I saw a group of people doing Yoga, at first I was hesitant to ask, thinking people will make fun of my weight but at last I gathered all my strength and went straight to enquire. My journey began in December 2020 when I joined the yoga classes and its been 6 months of me practicing Yoga daily and I would say that at first it was tough for me but slowly and gradually I gained strength and improved and my body started feeling so relaxed and energetic. With one month of daily practice, my body felt amazing and I started feeling confident and energetic. I just bid goodbye to all the health issues that arouse during lockdown. I lost a few kilos and also my body is better toned than before but the Journey is not yet over, I have a long way to go.

I could barely do a yoga pose earlier but now I gained mastery over many yoga asanas but still I may not be perfect, after all Yoga is all about patience and dedication.

Recently in previous month , I wanted to go a step further in my fitness journey and wanted to gain knowledge about the science of yoga so I purchased books online and I would say that it was one of my best decision. It give insights into body and body parts and which asana have more impact on which body part.

To remind you June 21 the International Yoga Day is approaching I would want everyone to just try it for first 20 days and you would see a positive change in your body. Your body being connected to mother nature and you feeling energetic and full of life and all those health issues will go away with time.

Go make a change.

Get your life on track.

Embark upon your journey to healthy self.

Thank You

Wishing everyone a healthy life.
