The movie 'Godzilla vs. Kong', which fans have been waiting for all over the world, is getting ready for release in March. The trailer of the movie, where King Kong and Godzilla, the most famous terror creatures of Hollywood, come together, received a huge response on YouTube. Most people know the story behind Godzilla. The story of the birth of Godzilla was prepared in the background of the US nuclear attack on Japan. In a way, Godzilla was also the Japanese people's silent protest against nuclear war. But King Kong? What is the story behind the birth of this huge gorilla that has shocked us for a long time? The concept of King Kong was created by Marian C. Cooper is an American. Merion's life as a soldier was always full of exciting moments. Cooper participated in the First World War and some other wars and lived as a prisoner of war for some time. However, after his military career was over, Cooper took another job. This was as a reporter. This was a turning point in Cooper's life.

In the meantime, Cooper released a number of films under the name 'Natural Drama', which depicted real animals and put a number of storylines in that video. It was well received. Although it may appear to be purely scientific information to the viewer, it is for entertainment purposes only.Cooper got to see a few baboons at Aida. With that, he became very interested in monkeys and decided to shoot a video about them.

Meanwhile, in 1930, Cooper learned of another strange creature from his friend Douglas Burden. That creature was a monstrous lizard called the Komodo dragon in Indonesia. With this, Cooper's thinking went in a different direction. Why not think of a new story? There is no fearsome gorilla who can fight and defeat the fearsome Komodo Dragon.

∙ King Kong

The gorilla was not a very familiar animal in the western world at that time. People had many myths and superstitions about these great apes living in the African forests. So Cooper made up a story. A giant Komodo dragon and gorilla living on a remote island. Once they get into a fight, the gorilla is captured and brought to New York. Later, the main plot is the problems this gorilla causes in America.Nothing happened except that Cooper's shoes wore out as he tapped a sponsor to turn this story into the natural drama he had already told. Because according to Cooper's plan, a real gorilla should be captured from Africa and brought to the United States to shoot a video. This is a costly affair. It should be remembered that in the 1930s the whole world was in a great financial crisis. So Cooper's idea was in the box.But in the meantime, Cooper got a job as an assistant in a film company. It was there that he met Wills O'Brien, an animator. At that time, it was an ancient form of animation that could not be compared to any of today's animation. Wills was brilliant.

You must have seen the Jurassic Park movies that created history in the 90s.These movies featuring dinosaurs are based on the famous author Arthur Conan Doyle's novel Lost World. When this novel was made into a movie in the 30s, Wills O'Brien was the animator. Cooper, who saw all this, liked the incident very much. Instead of Komodo dragons, gorillas fight dinosaurs. . . He changed the story in his mind like this. But there's a problem, if you want to knock down a dinosaur, no ordinary gorilla can. What then? Cooper had a solution for anything. So the gorilla in the story was immediately set at 12 feet tall.

Soon the story became a movie. Cooper also decided on a name for his character. Cong. The name is derived from the name of the African country Congo. But at the suggestion of another prominent director, King was added. And so the character of Cooper was born. . . King Kong. . . Cooper never imagined that King Kong would later become the world's most popular animal character.

The film had two directors. Cooper and Ernst Schodzak. Famous British science fiction writer Edgar Wallace also joined Cooper in writing the story. The film was made at a cost of five lakh US dollars at that time. On that day, two films can be shot with that budget.A large King Kong statue was made for the film. It is made of rubber, steel and sponge. It was run by three people. The film used stop motion animation and other special effects that were foreign at the time. Finally the film is finished.

Released on March 12, 1933, King Kong created waves all over the world. The film was one of the biggest grossers of that time. The film later made the American Film Institute's list of 50 Greatest Films and was inducted into the US National Film Registry. Anyway, King Kong got a lot of fans with that movie. In the same year, the sequel of King Kong was also released under the name of Son of Kong. Later, King Kong screamed in 9 more films in different periods. The last of these is Skull Island which was released in 2017.
