Indra Kumar is a director who made notable Hindi films like Dil, Beta, Raja and Ishq in the nineties. The films directed by the director in the second half of his career are very different from the above. Movies like Masti, Grand Masti, Great Grand Masti, Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal, Total Dhamaal - have achieved box office collection through adult comedy. Now the director is back with a film that can be celebrated with the family on the occasion of Diwali. But there's a catch, the film has a presentation reminiscent of 90s movies!

The director's new film is 'Thank Goda' starring Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra.Although the film released in theaters alongside Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Sethu' lacked comedy as expected, it should be thanked for clocking in at two hours without much drag. Rakul Preet Singh, Nora Fatehi, Seema Pahwa and others have also played important roles in the film. The Hindu belief is that when the life given by Brahma to living beings ends, Yama sends his messengers to take their souls to Kalapuri, where the balance of deeds is done and the pious souls are sent to heaven and the sinners to hell.It is Chitragupta who records the sins and virtues of every person on earth and decides whether they will be admitted to heaven or hell after death. Similar beliefs are found in other religions. Many movies have also come up based on this concept of advising people to lead a righteous life.Mohanlal's 'Angel John' or Samudra Kani's 'Vinodaya Sitham' which was released last year, the audience must have seen at least one film in this category. Bollywood has chosen that story for 'Thank God', which is not new at all these days.

The film tells the story of Ayan Kapoor, a real estate businessman who wants to become a police officer.Despite initial successes, he is on the verge of collapse after demonetisation. Ayan lived only for his goals and did not value the lives of those around him. Once he faces death in a car accident. Thus the modern version of Chitragupta came before Ayan. Ayan is now between life and death,CJ (Chitraguptan) also informs that if he wins a game, he can go back to life. Watch the movie to see if he can correct his mistakes and return to life.

Although it is an idea that has been used many times, if it could have been presented in a new way, the film could have created movements. The biggest shortcoming of Thank God is that the presentation also feels dated. It was necessary to make the screenplay more enjoyable as there was nothing in the story that the audience was not familiar with. For that the director has incorporated comedy but most of it misses the mark. There are very few moments when you are waiting to laugh but feel like laughing. Jokes though,Even the messages attract the audience only to a limited extent because they are familiar. If you can't laugh over and over again after hearing the same joke, why cry over and over over a sorrow? -Thus few dialogues make the audience think.

Ajay Devgan, Sidharth Malhotra,Rakul Preet Singh is the only one. Without good performances, strong screenplay, dialogues to go with it and eye-catching cinematography, it is not possible to hold the audience in such a situation. But in the picture all these four factors are below average. The film was somehow held on the strength of the genre called fantasy.Ajay Devgn plays the role of Chitragupta, but the actor fails to deliver any extraordinary performance. Sidharth Malhotra's lack of comedy has often left the actor's acting feeling over the top. Although Rakul Preet stuck to the story as the love interest and the wife, the role of a police officer did not suit the actress at all. Many of these inconsistencies made the image appear artificial. Those who come to see the film attracted by the element of fantasy will not be disappointed. But those expecting a full-on comedy entertainer will surely be disappointed. At this point we need to thank the person who edited the trailer of the film. Because the trailer has made it clear that there is nothing to get high hopes from. A message mentioned earlier,A few funny scenes can be seen in the trailer itself. I don't know if it's because it's a familiar story, hit songs have been reused in the film (remakes of songs are also common in Bollywood!). I don't mind listening to Yohani's 'Manike' and Anand Raj Anand's 'Dil De Diya Hai' again, but they are used unnecessarily in the film.I felt like saying 'Thank God' when the film ended in two hours without further ado!
