While it may seem silly to the general audience, Fone Bhoot is a film that will delight those who come here just for laughs without any expectations. Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khatter, Jackie Shroff, Sheeba Chadda and others are cast in this horror-comedy medley which has been released in theatres. Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the film mocks the viewers with its logic and the power of the story. The only relief is that those who try to watch the film after understanding all this will get a few occasions to laugh. Comedy has been added to horror films for years, but now the proportions have changed a lot.Even though there are many films in Tamil that make the audience laugh instead of scaring the ghosts by showing them on screen, such experiments have not come to Bollywood. Hindi films like Karthik Aaryan starrer 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2' spent more time on the comedy track but took the horror elements seriously. Phone Ghost defies all such conventions. The film is more aptly described as a spoof than a horror-comedy blend.

Gullu alias Galileo Parthasarathy and Major alias Sherdil Shergill are the two main characters in the film. These friends tried various businesses but could not succeed in anything. Therefore, they did not have any value in front of the locals and family members. So one day, very, very randomly, they get the chance to see ghosts! As both of them are fans of horror films and are pure idiots, they have no fear of ghosts and ghosts. A spirit called Ragini who associates with them tells them a way to earn money. Thus, Phone Bhoot is an initiative started by Gullu and Major to evacuate the ghosts. What is going on in their lives and Ragini's goal can be seen in the film.

Phone Bhoot is not a regular horror-comedy film. Not all audiences will enjoy it equally. The film features a lot of geese working out among frequent users of social media. Just like trolls and some comments below social media posts that make us laugh, there are many things in 'phone ghost'.For those who do not understand such quick jokes and are looking for logic, this film is difficult to watch. Anything can happen in the picture, but don't look for its causes.

Audiences can enjoy this film only if they set aside their inner critics. The same story that we have seen in many films like My Dear Kuttichathan Mudalinghot is also seen here. But the way it is presented is almost new (for Hindi audience). The script was made in the manner of a spoof of horror films and the director presented it. If you can watch the film without even thinking about the story and logic, you will not be disappointed.Phone Bhooti' is full of references to many people and images from beginning to end. And if that's not enough, there are ads for products like Wix, OLX and Slice. But that shouldn't be taken as a drawback of the film, it's all the better to watch. Advertisements are included in the film very strategically. So such occasions also gave us opportunities to laugh.Although the film is mainly aimed at those who have grown up watching Bollywood fantasy-horror films, there are some moments that will make all audiences laugh.

The reactions of Major and Gullu's fathers, the arrival of the 'Fukrey' (film) team, Chikini trying to straighten Chutailin's feet, and calming the Tamil-speaking soul with a photo of Rajinikanth.Locking Punjabi Yakshi through song - such scenes are a workout. The occasional voiceover interlude was interestingly presented. While there are plenty of moments to laugh at, a lot of the effort put into making a laugh goes to waste. While trying to cram in a lot of references and jokes, some missed the mark. Although the director has struggled to make a full-length comedy film, he has not paid attention to even the basic elements required for it. Even though it manages to generate laughs at times, the scenes where the plot is floundering without any overall cohesion will leave the audience irritated.Although the star value will benefit the market, the presence of Katrina Kaif has not done the film much good. The actress also has less space than Ishaan and Siddhant. The actress managed to score a small one in a dance scene in the second half. The chemistry between Ishaan and Siddhant and their comedic timing make the film a must-watch.Jackie Shroff has played the villain role of Atmaram very well. However, Atmaram was not a character creation that utilized the actor's talent.Despite her supporting role, Sheeba Chadda won the applause. The actress's chikini chute is one of the funniest moments in the film. Apart from them, there are many variety ghosts in the film and such characters including Raku and Ketu are well played by the actors. Although such characters had a lot of potential in the film, the screenwriters could not utilize it.The opening song 'Kali Teri' was almost perfect as it suited the situation. Other than that neither the songs nor the background music felt catchy. The cinematography is also done as if this is enough for an average comedy film. Even the beautiful backgrounds are not captured attractively. Technical aspects like editing, color grading, lighting and sound are all below average. There is no profit for those who go to the theater and watch the film. Perhaps if it was an OTT release, the audience would have enjoyed it a little better.
