Many of us have been spending our time indoors than outdoors. It would be a great opportunity to experience the world of novels right now.

2021 has so much to offer for our literary diet. My favourite books for this year thus far come from great and emerging authors. Set everywhere from the all-too-real world to the distant past, and even peering into the speculative future, these are the books that offers escape, education and  spiritual enlargement- whatever you are looking for.

Here i have a list of just 5 recommended books to read and enjoy these adventures.

  • 5. THE PUSH ~ Ashley Audrain.

One of the best for fans of psychological thriller novels by Ashley audrain. THIS WILL MAKE YOU CRY.

You used to care about me as a person- my happiness, the things that made me thrive. Now i was a service provider. You didn't see me as a woman. I was just a mother of your child .

  • 4. A crooked tree ~ Una Mannion.

One night, while driving home, Libby's mother, frustrated by their fighting, pulls over and orders libby's little sister Ellen to walk home.

A wise, deep probing exploration of complexities of youth through the eyes of 12 year old Ellen.

The night we left Ellen on the road, we drove up the mountain in silence.

  • 3. Let me tell you what i mean ~ Joan Didion

It is an anthology of essays written by Joan Didion from the year 1968 to 2000.

In many ways, writing is the act of saying I, of imposing oneself upon other people, of saying listen to me, see it my way, change your mind.

  • 2. The wife upstairs ~ Rachel Hawkins

A quick and easy read if you are looking for a thriller fix by Rachel Hawkins.( my personal favourite๐Ÿ˜).

A man who underestimates his intelligence is a man who can easily be manipulated.

  • 1.Summerwater ~ Sarah Moss.
A slim novella tracking the course of single rainy day in a scottish holiday park

It is such a well written cabin fever story taken place in claustrophobic  rainy, depressing atmosphere with detailed and pure realistic and layered   characterization and narration.

Dawn. There's No sunrise, no birdsong. Light seeps over the water, through the branches.

Thats all i would recommend, but if there is any other you would want on this list or you would want me to read, you could comment it down. Thank you for reading ๐Ÿ‘

Good luck
