Today's topic is something that has helped me to get over some things. It would seem really straight forward yet it isn't really that easy. Yes it is overthinking. You know the feeling of anxiety and nervousness because you just can not stop thinking the same thing over and over again.
Lets define the term "over thinking". So it is the simple act of thinking about one thing for too long and too much. I know this feeling, this energy draining anxiety that shivers one's spine.
This βproblemβ is rarely the problem. 98 % of the harm caused is by your own mind, you and your thoughts. And the 1% of the harm is caused by reality and your situations and what actually happens.
Most of the time the problem is not the problem, but the way you think about the problem is the problem.
Breathe and meditate. When you feel that you are losing the most important thing in your life, just take a step back and breathe. Feel that air filling up in your lungs and then, let go.
Avoid self-rejection. Don't think you are good enough to do a task?? Do it anyways. Don't think your article is good enough?? Publish it anyways.
Never overthink yourself into rejection.
Silence and time. Sometimes the problem is not solved by thinking more, it is actually solved by thinking less. You will find most of the answers you are looking for in silence, in time and with a clear mind.
OVERTHINKING: the art of creating new problems out of ones that never even existed in the first place.
The power of now. You will not get a better future or a relieved past by overthink your way through it. All you have is NOW.
Make peace with yesterday and let go of tomorrow, grab the hold of NOW.
To accept is to be at peace. No amount of anxiety will change your future and no amount of regret will change your past. Accept imperfection, accept uncertainty and accept the uncontrollable.
You don't have to understand, tolerate or even forget something but if you want peace, you must accept it.
You must learn to let go and live with peace or at least search for peace.
