Hi again! Welcome or welcome back to my daily blogs. I hope you all are in good health. ๐Ÿ’™

Today we will be talking about a greek god, ZEUS.

So Zeus was the supreme god of greek mythology and the strongest god. He is the son of the Titans, Cronus and Rhea. There was a prophecy that one of the sons of Cronus will be stronger than him and would dethrone him. So, not allowing the prophecy to get real, Cronus devoured his sons as they were born ( crazy, right๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ). But Zeus managed to escape because of the mother.

The baby Zeus was secretly being taken care by Amalthea. As he became an adult, he challenged his father and rescued his brothers from a prison of Cronus's stomach. It started a war between the Titans and Gods. After the victory of the gods, Zeus shared the powers with his brothers. Poseidon was declared the ruler of the seas, Hades ruled the underworld and Zeus became the god of the heavens and the earth.

So zeus became the lord of the universe and worked to establish order and justice in the world. He had many powers including the ability to control the rains and storms. He was married to the goddess Hera and fathered children like Hephaestus, the god of forges and Mars the god of war.

But he wasnt really loyal to his marraige. He fell in love with many goddess's and beautiful mortals. He was also the father of some demigods like Hercules and Perseus. But her favourite child was Athena, the goddess of wisdom, who was born out of his head.

Once, the gods of Olympus revolted and imprisoned Zeus, but he escaped with the help of hecatencairies and stopped this rebellion. There were many temples built in his honor. In one of them, there was enormous statue of the god sculpted by phidias, most renowned sculptor of that time. That statue was one of the 7 Original wonders of the world.

In Rome, he was named Jupiter. Hi main temple was on the Capitoline hill. The most powerful of the olympic gods was worshipped throughout Europe. This all may have gone into decline but the various myths of Zeus still continues to marvel people of all ages throughout the world.

So that was all for this blog. I hope it entertained you..
