Powerful Body Language Tricks One Should Know.....

• To boost your confidence, have a power pose.

Simply holding your body in a high power poses for two or three minutes increases the levels of testosterone and decreases cortisol levels, which is a hormone responsible for stress. Testosterone is a hormone linked with power, where as the cortisol is associated with stress and fear. 

Leaning back with hands behind the head and feet up on a desk with a relaxed posture or even standing with legs and arms stretched wide is considered as a power pose. 

• Look like you are listening, to increase participation. 

Do not get distracted if you want them to speak out. Instead, turn your head to face people who are actually speaking, and make direct eye contact with them. Other cues for being attentive, involve leaning forward and nodding your head. 

• Shake hands to connect with someone instantly. 

One of the most strong non verbal indication is physical touch. A human relationship can be formed by touching someone on the arm or shoulder for as little as a second. If you shake your co workers hand, they are twice as likely to remember you.

• Smile, to elevate good feelings.

A genuine smile appears to be contagious and brightens up the face. When you smile at someone, they almost return your smile with happiness. Because facial expressions have similar emotions, the smile you receive really tends to improve the persons emotion.

• To show agreement, mirror expressions. 

Mirroring with intent can be an important aspect of developing sentimental connections of mutuality. It begins with a person's facial and body expressions and gently allowing your body to adopt comparable expressions. This makes the other person feel understood and accepted more.

• To improve expression in your speech, use your hands 

Gesturing while speaking can help people understand your even more clearly. Brain imaging has revealed that a region known as Broca's area is active not just when we just talk, but also when we wave our hands. Experiment with this, and you will discover that the physical act of gesturing helps you very much in better and clearer thoughts.

 • To learn the truth, watch people's foot motions 

When people try to manage their body language, they concentrate more on the facial expressions. People who are stressed frequently face anxiety through increased foot motions. According to studies, when viewers see the feet , they have a better chance of judging a person's genuine emotional state.
