1. Nicobar Pigeon
Mostly found in India's Andaman and the Nicobar Islands in the east to the Solomon Islands. The Nicobar pigeon is truly one of the most attractive of all pigeons or doves.
2. Golden Pheasant
It is referred to as a โgamebird" . It's scientific name comes from Ancient Greek and Latin. Golden pheasants are native to Chinese forests. They live in the wild all around the world. Male golden pheasants can grow really big. The males are distinctively colored. Females are much smaller than their male. The fact that golden pheasants can lay between 8 to 12 eggs, and you understand that this is a massive amount!
3. Scarlet Macaw
It is one of the most beautiful members of the parrot family. They prefer life in the rainforest. Scarlet Macaws are curious, strong willed and highly trainable. It is one of the most intelligent bird species in the world and able to mimic words and sounds and learn tricks in captivity.
4. Bluebird of Paradise
It is the only bird in its particular genus. These birds live on an island just north of mainland Australia.This bird species is considered to be vulnerable due to habitat loss.
5. Flamingo
The flamingo is the national bird of The Bahamas. Flamingos are monogamous by nature, and only lay around one egg per year. It takes flamingos about three years to get their pink and red feathers. There was an old greater flamingo that lived to be 83yr old at the Adelaide Zoo in Australia. But ๐ฅsadly passed away in 2014.
6. Red-necked Tanager
The Red-necked Tanager is a very colorful songbird. It is inhabit the tropical and sub tropical forests of South America. This bird is native to Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
7.Mandarin Duck
Mandarin Ducks are Symbols of Love and Fidelity. Mandarin ducks are native to China, Japan, Korea, and eastern Russia ๐ท๐บ.
8.Peacock
Peacock stands as the national bird of India. Peacock feathers are called a โtrainโ. A peacockโs train only develops after three years. A peacock call is not a pleasant experience for humans. During the monsoon, their calls become more frequent as their meowing sounds indicate the onset of rain.
9.Snowy Owl
Snowy owls are native to the Arctic regions of both North America and the Palearctic, breeding mostly on the tundra. Most owls sleep during the day and hunt at night, but the snowy owl is often active during the day, especially in the summertime.
10.Keel-billed Toucan
It is the national bird of Belize.
The species is found in tropical jungles from southern Mexico to Colombia.
