Yes today I'm going to share the food that you should include in your diet on your periods. By including this food items you can control the period cramps.
We all know that period cramps is something we couldn't deal with. Many of us may take Pain killers during the period. And it's not a good habit.
Here are some food items that can control the menstrual pain. The food we ate has a impact in the menstrual pain severity.
You know a fact, that women suffer approximately 7 years of their life on menstruating. The period cramps effect the mood and thereby the daily activities.
The food items are,
Nuts
Try to include the food items that are rich in protein, iron, magnesium, and Omega 3 fatty acids.
Cruciferous vegetables are green leafy vegetables like cabbage, spinach, cauliflower etc. Rich source of calcium and magnesium. So they help to relieve period pain.
Water rich foods are water melon, cucumber etc. During periods we may feel excessive dehydration. So we should include more water containing food in our diet . Also drink plenty of fluids. Dehydration can cause headache. So while incorporating water rich foods in your diet you can control dehydration and there by you can prevent headache.
Fish is rich in iron , protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are best to elevate your mood. So the main problem during periods is low mood due to cramps. Inorder to over come this you can add Omega 3 fatty acids rich food in your diet.
Turmeric is an anti inflammatory spice. It helps to control the period pain.
Another one is yogurt. It is rich in probiotics. It will nourish the body. And also protect the vagina from various infection that may occur during periods.
Eggs are rich in various nutrients. It will keep you Fuller for longer. And also control period pain.
Seeds include many eatable seeds like flaxseed. Flaxseed mainly help with constipation, which is common in menstruation.
You can also include dark chocolate in your diet. It is rich in iron and magnesium. It will also improve your mood.
Ginger and ginger tea can reduce the nausea during periods. Nuts can also help you to relieve pain.
