The aroma of Biriyani is something which always waters up my mouth even it's coming from the hotel am passing by. It's the perfect blend of falvourfull rice and spicy meat( mutton, chicken, beef I dont mind which) relish which brings about the dream come true of a non veg lover. The thought of biriyani not only tingles my taste buds but also brings about a flood of fond memories of my hostel life. My never ending love for biriyani reached a peak during my hostel life. Compared to other colleges our hostel food was not bad, still we got bored of the same repeated menu.So every sunday we ordered from the nearby local hotels .Initially we tried different menus but something was always off for me. It filled my tummy but never my heart. I always craved for biriyani whenever I was eating anything else. The parcel of biriyani from my favourite restaurant always had a small quail egg, lemon pickle and raita .Soon i didnt wanted a menu since I always sticked on to ordering biriyani. It was soon followed by my friends whom were equally fond of biriyani. Scattered on the floor , eating biriyani and talking the never ending tales is one of my fondest memories from my college life. We even celebrated a birthday of my friend where we brought parcels of biriyani instead of a birthday cake. And believe me as stupid as it sounds it was a huge succes in our case since we were a bunch of biriyani lovers. The story doesnt ends here . Since I had a lot of Muslim friends I was able to devour the authentic malabari dum biriyani made by my friends mothers on special occasions. Their speciality was the slow cooked flavorful mutton biriyani. The meat was so soft and spicy it practically melts in our mouth. The taste and smell lingered on us even after finishing the biriyani in minutes. So inorder to have biriyani me and my friends never missed a Muslim marriage function which includes 2 uninvited ones. Many of the best tastedbiriyani I had was from these marriage functions. So friends I'll let you know a secret ingredient which I got from my friends 70 year old Muslim grandmother. Along with all spices a pinch of love can do wonders to ur biriyani when u make them for ur loved ones. Also the best biriyani comes alive when u eat it with ur loved ones.
