Hi guys! This blog is for cherishing my younger sister. She is five years younger than me, and we still vibe so well irrespective of whether there is something to actually vibe about. Those with siblings will understand. And since I stay in the hostel, I do miss her. But nonetheless, the sweet memories make up for all the fighting, playing, laughing and loads of fun.
So I suppose we had taken this one during Covid, though I do not remember the occasion. And she was gonna dig in. But I stopped her for the shot you know. And yes I was the one who took it that way. I feel like the picture looks cool with the opened up basundi boxes and the spoons held in opposite directions enhances it.
*Shout out to all those foodie influencers.*
In other words, this luscious dish is a treasure trove of a variety of flavours.
Let us dive into a bit of history here. Basundi is apparently derived from the Marathi word ‘Basundhi’ which means soft and delectable. I mean, the taste lives up to it's name. Initially introduced as a regal dessert in Gujarat and Maharashtra fit for those living in palaces, it is now a famous delicacy for special occasions like festivals, weddings and birthdays.
It has various benefits as well.
Anyway, we got this from Ananda Bhavan, and I don't know the price because our parents bought it for us. It was just awesome.
For some reason, I feel, Ananda Bhavan nails each one of its savoury items. They are just fabulously gorgeous and finger licking delicious.
