The human element in Interstellar, a visual masterpiece, elevates it to greatness. One of the best space movies ever made, if not the best.
When it comes to his films, Christopher Nolan is not one who is known for being reserved. Even his smaller films, such as Momento, has vast frameworks to support their straightforward stories. However, unless you count the entire Dark Knight trilogy as an epic, Interstellar is likely his first encounter with it. In theory, it shouldn't function.
Former NASA pilot Joseph Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) is the main character of the film. A peculiar gravitational disturbance that appears after a dust storm directs him to the former agency. He learns that NASA, under the direction of Dr. Brand (Michael Caine), and his daughter Dr. Amelia Brand (Anne Hathaway), have found a wormhole.
Cooper is given the choice to either perhaps abandon his children forever or prevent the destruction of humanity. He decides to go with the latter and sets out on an amazing adventure on the Endurance. He embarked on an exploration of the three planets with Amelia, Dr. Doyle and Dr. Romilly , in order to determine where to establish a new civilisation.
Back on earth, Murphy Cooper , who develops while her father is away, starts working with Dr. Brand to come up with a plan for a mass departure of mankind.
The technology behind wormholes and other planets is absolutely real, despite the fact that they seem to belong in science fiction. Even if there are instances during the film when things seem a little hazy, you can piece it all together with some thought.
Not the plot or the science, but the tenderness, is one of Interstellar's most unexpected aspects. It's shockingly sentimental and frequently tragic. It actually left me in pieces. Anyone can speculate as to whether the surprise stems from the director or the idea. But its hold on humanity is both welcome and rejuvenating. Usually, a human element is absent, especially in science fiction. However, Nolan and the film's script demonstrate human nature in all its ugliness.
Thinking of a means to save our kind is the fundamental premise of the film. But the film also looks at our naturally selfish inclinations. It is examined in an unexpected and tragic way.
Personally I really enjoyed this movie even though there are some drawbacks. It is the best space movie ever made. And I strongly recommend everyone of you to watch this movie.
Hope it's helpful and entertaining. Will be back soon with new blog.
