When we are kids we wish to grow up as soon as possible. We wait for the day when we won't be forced to study and we can have freedom to do whatever we want.
Now we are adults. We make money ourselves. We take our decision, be where we want to be. But then don't we all miss our childhood now?
Specially we 90s kids had the best childhood ever. Atleast this is what I feel. But that's not the point here. We all were privileged enough to enjoy a beautiful childhood.
Getting up in the morning, we now dress up to leave for our jobs because that's what we have to do to earn our living. But as kids we were more than eager to get up, get ready and go to school because that's where our friends were.
Now as we all have grown up we have to plan for months to match our schedule so that we get to meet our friends for a lunch or a party. But our childhood was so beautiful that every day was a get together with friends.
Coming from school we played all evening. We used to enjoy at the peak of our excitement. No worries about life, no anxiety. The only fear we had then was examination. But then, these are all part of life.
The TV shows like Shaka laka boom boom, Son Pari were some classics that every kid those days used to enjoy. No show now can come any close to those fun shows.
Childhood was innocent. We used to get 2 rupees each, me and my brother, every day as pocket money. And those 2 rupees used to give the happiness which 2000 rupees today cannot bring.
Memories, as we talk about, is best stored in photographs and writings. We did not have smart phones those days so we had limited number of photos clicked by one our friends who bought newly launched digi cam then.
But we have our childhood emoted in slam books which I have kept till now. Whenever I turn those Yellow pages of my slam book, I can clearly see my school life, sitting on those wooden benches of class and gossiping be whole day.
We had a maths teacher who liked to teach but didn't really bother if we were able to understand or not. So the best thing we could do in that super boring period was eating our lunch secretly so that we could only play during recess.
Oh those days! Wish that could come back.
