Tinder, Happn, Ok Cupid… the list would go on. These are apps people use these days to find love. But can love really be found over these dating apps? The answer to this question lies in the definition of love itself. 

The meaning of Love has been changing over generations. In today's generation finding love has become as easy a process as finding a good shirt for yourself. Everything is over internet now be it shopping or finding your true love. Oh! Wait a second. That what is found over these dating apps can't really be called true love. True love is something which just happens. We don't need to put efforts in finding it as we put efforts in finding a job for ourselves. These dating apps takes you to the profiles of number of boys and girls where you see their proffesion, their hobbies, likes , dislikes and then decide to meet them in person to further check whether its a perfect match or not. If not you just move on and the search for the next begins. 

This , I believe, can find you your perfect match but true love is not only about finding the perfect match, its about loving the imperfections of your partner. This dating app generation can never understand the feeling of being in love. When you are in love you are ready to compromise. Compromise is not synonymous to sacrifice. Compromising is the silent way of saying that you Love your partner. When matches are found over internet, the two persons who decide to be in a relationship only look for the similarities between them. After a certain time period when the differences begin to pop up they disagree to compromise or adjust certain things to hold on to the person they love. They choose the easy way of letting go. Yes sometimes letting go is important but before you let go atleast you try. And when you try, you know you love the other person. 

Double dating, flings, hook ups, infedality, have become so common these days which should not have been the way it is now. These are ruining the sweetness of pure love.

In short, love is not only about hookups and breakups. Its about excepting the flaws and holding on to each other.

With time, things changes and we should be flexible enough to change ourselves but when it comes to feelings, it can never change. It will remain the same generation after generation
