This popular ancient urban legend was born in Japan during the Heian period (about 1200,800 years ago). Japan is known for its many stories of terrifying ghosts, which is not particularly terrifying. The legend begins with a stunning women who married a samurai. But be careful her appearance can be fooled-she is so wasteful that one day she went to fool her samurai husband. When he learned of the incident he was very angry and tore her mouth from ear to ear, giving her a glasgoe smile (a smile caused by an ear to ear smile). After this barbaric act, he asked, “who do you think you are beautiful now? ".the original Story is a warning that remainds us to remain faithful to people, but the story turns in terrifying direction.
In 2007,corners found a record of a similarly shocking incident at night, when the story took place. Records show that many children's died in the middle of night. There are rumors that a women with similar characteristics was witnessed at the time and place of her death, giving the legend a terrible realistic twist.
This obvious phenomenon can be explained. A women wearing a surgical mask or some kind of mask approaches people (usually children) at night and ask “am I Pretty? " She pinches her face and she give a similar Glasglow smile.
But if they say yes, she show her face and ask again. Even if they say no this time, she would still have her face open. Even if they still say yes, she takes them home and still brutally killed them.
