Golden-crowned Crane
This bird species belongs to the crane family Gruidae. These are large arboreal wading birds that can reach a length around 2 metres. They have long legs, webbed feet, huge bills and neck feathers that resemble those of a snake. They inhabit open areas near wetlands, grasslands, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, coastal waters and ponds. This bird has been identified by BirdLife International as being of “Least Concern”. It nests in trees and eats insects, worms, fruits and seeds.

The great hornbill is classified under the order Galliformes and the family Bucerotidae. It is native to Southeast Asia.
