Hello everyone! In this blog is about Indian forces…

Army:

India's military was created after India became independent in 1947. At that time, the Indian government could only afford a small number of soldiers. The first group of trained soldiers consisted primarily of men who had been serving in the British-run Indian Imperial Forces before independence.

By 1948, the Indian army grew to 20,000 troops and was divided into five infantry divisions, three field artillery regiments, two mountain gun battalions, and a single armoured division. By 1949, the Indian army's strength had grown to 30,000 personnel and the army was organised along three lines of battle.

In 1952, the Indian army underwent a reorganization which saw the addition of combat engineer units, reconnaissance units, and signals units. In 1955, the Indian army began receiving its first conscripts, who were sent to basic training and then transferred to their unit.

Since 1957, the Indian army has suffered heavy losses at the hands of Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. However, since 2001, when the Kargil War broke out, India has won many battles and gained ground against Pakistan.

In 1962, India started building nuclear weapons and in 1998 signed a deal with North Korea to build a reprocessing facility for plutonium, which was completed in 2002. By 1995, India had established a separate air force from the Indian Navy. Today, both services remain under the Department of Defense (DOD).

Navy:

The Indian Navy was founded on October 1, 1950. Its mission includes keeping safe the country's sea borders and maritime interests; defending merchant shipping; assisting civil authorities with disaster relief; carrying out search and rescue operations; and conducting counter-narcotics activities.

As of 2011, India is the world's largest naval power by tonnage and second largest in terms of manpower after China. The Indian Navy consists of 14 fleets spread across three distinct commands: the Eastern Fleet, Western Fleet, and Southern Naval Command. The Eastern Fleet operates mainly in South East Asia while the Western Fleet patrols the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf.

Air Force:

The Indian Air Force was formed in 1932 and consists of various fighter, attack, transport and patrol aircraft squadrons. As of 2017, the IAF is responsible for the defence of India and conducts operations around the globe.

Although India's military forces have faced setbacks over the past decade, they continue to evolve and improve.

India's armed forces are capable of using conventional weapons to fight enemy armies. Additionally, they use modern armaments including tanks, warships, aircraft, missiles, and bombs.
