Hello everyone! In this blog is about exfoliation..

Exfoliation is the process where dead cells of the epidermis (skin) layer are shed off and removed. It is done to help the skin look younger and fresher. Exfoliating helps remove old and dry skin layers leaving young fresh looking skin with smoother texture. Exfoliation does not damage the skin and helps improve its appearance. There are various methods of exfoliation. Here are some popular ones.

Wet Method: You may use lukewarm water to wash off dead skin cells. You should do this twice a week at least to get effective results. If you have oily skin, you need to avoid using warm water. Instead, use soap-free soap scrubs. Hot Water Method: Use hot water to boil up some water then soak a piece of cloth in the boiling water for about 10 minutes. Take out the cloth and place it on your face to steam your skin. Do this twice weekly to reduce wrinkles and to increase blood circulation.

Chemical Method: You may use chemicals such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), retinoids, Vitamin C etc. to exfoliate your skin. These chemical products are quite toxic and they should only be applied under professional guidance. Mechanical Method: You may use scrub brushes and body scrubs to exfoliate your face and body. Make sure these items are soft enough.

If you want a deeper clean, you may go for deep cleansing procedures. Here are some tips on how to achieve a good deep clean.

Using olive oil is a great way to deep clean your face. Fill up a bowl with warm water and add 2 drops of olive oil. Add 4 drops of lavender oil to the mix if you want to feel the relaxing effect. Dip a cotton ball into the solution and dab it around your eyes, nose, temples, cheeks, and chin. After 20 minutes rinse your face thoroughly with cold water.

Deep cleansing with apple cider vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar is a natural ingredient that helps relieve acne. Combine equal amounts of warm water and apple cider vinegar with a few drops of essential oils. Mix well until a paste forms. Dip a cotton ball in the solution and gently wipe your face and neck area. Make sure to wipe away excess solution.

Benefits of Exfoliating:

Remove dirt and debris: When you exfoliate, you remove the buildup of dirt and debris on the outer layer of your skin, thus preventing them from clogging pores and causing acne. In addition, dead skin cells tend to block the pores from letting fresh air inside where bacteria can multiply and cause blemishes.

Reduce the appearance of scars: Scars are caused by any number of reasons including surgery or injury, and these injuries tend to leave marks on the skin.

Thank you..
