When little Krishna was born, all the prison's gates opened all the sepoys of the prison gates went to sleep, and father Vasudev waded through the overflooded Jamuna river with the serpent Vasuki guarding like umbrella in the stormy weather and reached Mathura Nagar the same night and, exchanged Krishna for the daughter of Nandalala, the Devi Durga incarnation, and returned to Kans' prison the same night with the girl child. When Kans came to see the eighth birth, and tried to kill the girl child by smashing through the prison floors, the Devi incarnation escaped the plot and vanished in the air and announced an important cosmic light and sound which was so  heard that “Kans, who will destroy you is happily growing in Gokul”.  That was little Krishna at Gokul with father Nandalala and mother Yashodha. His own mother Devaki mourns at Kans' prison with his father Vasudeva helpless in vain. This was the actual birth of Lord Krishna in Kans' prison. The birth of the child showed many miracles which his father and mother witnessed and only got satisfied that something worthwhile is coming their way to happen and they found hope in their lives.

Worried by the cosmic forecast that the eighth birth of sister Devaki will be the cause of Kans' death. The demon king 👑 Kans sends his sister Poothna to Gokul to kill all the children there at the age, till 5 years, fearing that Devaki's eighth birth will be still there alive. Alas, little Krishna came to drink the poison milk of demon Poothna, but, played a trick and bit the poison layered breast of the demon 👹  Poothna in such a way that the poison meant for the children got mixed in Poothna's breast and she died of the poison with little Krishna smiling and playing in her lap and Poothna died of the terrible poisonous pain. This way his child acts of eradicating demons 👹 and saving all children 🧒 in the town started. This way his boyhood passed in many acts of protection for the boys and girls in the town. One day his mother while punishing little Krishna could see the whole universe in little Krishna's mouth when he kept his mouth wide open and ultimately got fainted at the sight and assumed that some ghost has overpowered him. But, this was the little boy's leela or act of wonders. Krishna kept the Kalia serpent in control and danced in it's head as a symbol of submission to the little lord. Many days passed, when he and his brother Balaram stepped in teens, by the order of their father Nandalala they left for Ujjain the gurukul for studies of scriptures and warfare.  One remarkable love ❤️ story developed in Mathura between Radha and Krishna while going in the meadows to graze the cattle and Krishna's flute recitals are worth remembering, now comes to an end, and Krishna asks for the leave to Radha knowing never to return again, a never-ending detachment of phase arising from the situation whose adaptation purpose Krishna explained to Radha to find the whole nature with his presence everywhere in all beings, but, very saddening to Radha, the finest tunes of melancholy came into his flute as their departure.

After 5 to 8 years of rigorous studies in Ujjain both the brothers, grasped many advanced scriptures and technologies of those times, and they finally returns to Mathura and in an invitation in Kans' palace, in an arena, in a duel fight, both the brothers killed their maternal uncle Kans and freed all the farmers and villagers from their prison, and finally their mother and father, Devaki and Vasudev too from Kans' prison. There were joy and merry-making in the town. Some more days passed when Krishna saved the villagers under the Govardhan mountain, he was worshipped at the end.

Some year's after Krishna got involved in Hastinapur's history and then came the war of Kurukshetra. He played the roll of a karma yogi being the charioteer of Arjuna a sportive personality, yet not directly involved in the war process, but, always guiding the Pandavas consciously to the final goal when ultimate awareness and happiness is always achieved. Lord Krishna showed Arjuna the sight of the cosmic existence and duality, and the lesson of Gita showed Arjuna the only way of righteous establishing war till they killed the 100 brothers of Kauravas and ultimately the head Duryodhana and occupied the lost Hastinapur.

At the end of the war mother Gandhari cursed Krishna for killing her 100 sons, but, Krishna now, being a lord himself, yet, accepted all responsibility of the plot and humbly took the curse as his mother's boon and goes back to Dwaraka in Gujarat, where his whole clan was assassinated and when his elder brother Balarama breathed his last; the five headed serpent went to the seas, a Fowler shot an arrow in Krishna's feet 👣  and was the cause of his death, when Krishna blessed the Fowler because he was the cause of the fulfillment of the curse. Krishna's life is of conscious yogic life. Who comes to the kali yuga as Jagannatha doing nothing for his hands are not seen, all are kept for the people to perform because in Satya yuga Krishna did most that could be done by humans.

Subir Kumar Ghosh.
