In India, the rainy season often begins in late May. It happens as a result of the monsoon winds' impact and lasts until September. Showers are in full swing in June. The amount of rain is physically drowning cities. Showers might linger for a few hours and mainly happen in the evening or at night. Thunder and lightning accompany rain.

Generally speaking, the south of the nation experiences more precipitation than the north. In any case, during the rainy season, regions receive up to 80% of their yearly precipitation. The start of the rainy season follows the monsoon wind's path over the nation. Thus, it only covers the entire nation during the first week of July. During the rainy season, the frequency and intensity of the rainfall vary from year to year.

MONSOON MONTH:
Due to the monsoon winds' arrival at Indian islands in the Bay of Bengal, the latter week of May is regarded as the start of the rainy season. The subcontinent's southwest coast, known as the Malabar Coast, experiences the monsoon a little later.

JUNE MONTH:
By early June, the monsoon is having an impact on the Coromandel Coast, which is to the opposite of the Malabar Coast. It is accompanied by a modest decrease in temperature and an increase in air humidity. With the exception of the northeast continental section, the northern territories are still largely dry and mild. Only in the middle of the month do the rains arrive in Central and East India; by the end of June, they reach the northern areas. Only in the first several months of summer is Rajasthan somewhat dry.

The amount of precipitation that falls each month varies from location to region and from year to year. June rainfall in the nation averages 163 mm (6.4"), although it can vary greatly, ranging from 95 mm (3.7") to 220 mm (8.6").

SEPTEMBER MONTH:
The final full month of the rainy season is September. It's a period of time when there is still a lot of rain, but there are also more sunny days. This month is particularly pleasant in the north, even though most tourist activities haven't started yet. September is regarded as the post-monsoon month in the Himalayas. The weather is ideal for trekking and other available activities, and there are no storms, floods, or landslides. Although there is less rain in the northeastern regions, the roads there are still untidy, so it is best to plan a visit in the later months.
