Love is a powerful emotion that results from kinship, companionship, appreciation, or kindness for another person. It is characterized by intense feelings of affection. In a similar vein, "love" refers to altruistic concern for the well-being of others. The phrase can also be used to describe romantic desire or sexual attraction to another person. Numerous scientific fields, including psychology, biology and neuroscience, anthropology, and sociology, have examined love as a distinct emotion. 
Let me narrate a short story once I heard from my friend.

There once was a blind girl who hated the world and was full of hate. 
She had only one boyfriend who loved her more than anybody else, and not many other pals.
If she could see him, she would marry him, she used to declare every time. Abruptly, one day she received an eye donation from someone... 
At last, she caught sight of her boyfriend at that point. 
She was shocked to learn that her partner was also blind. 
"You can see me now, can we get married?" he asked her. 
"And do what?" she retorted. We could never be content. You remain blind, but I now have sight. I apologize, but it won't work out. 
Grinning and holding a tear in his eye, he murmured softly, I understand. I just want you to always be happy. Take care of yourself, and my eyes."

See how passionate did the boy  loved  the girl. And  look how selfish the girl was. Actually what is love all about. Is it about the wealth of the boy? Beauty of the girl? or is it about the sacrifice and dedication towards each other. Many of this generation kids find love in wealth and beauty and our parents are more careful about the job, wealth and all sort of stuffs. When they stand in front of  the parents that they love each other, parents are not bothered about it. They suddenly wanted the girl to get married to someone she sees a fraction of second. But the parents are not ready to respect the love and desire of their children. 

I am not sure when is this practice gonna change. Parents when yours children tell you they are in love please don't hit them are make them the worst creature…No, it's not so. Sit down ask them about the person they are in love, try understanding their feels. If it's not God's will this is not gonna happen. But when God has made them one given them space. 

Matthew 19:6 says
So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
