Despite the mythological importance, some places in the present day have not been as popular as they were.  One such place is Chaumasi, which is said to be the last village of Ukhimath block.  This is the village where the road ends.  An alternate walking route to Kedarnath Dham passes through this village.  

Which is known as the legendary Chaumasi - Kedarnath track.  The relevance of this track suddenly increased after the Kedarnath tragedy, when all roads were closed and it became difficult to reach the people trapped in the valley.  Eventually, the help of the village shepherds was taken and through this track, the army personnel reached this temple and hundreds of people could be saved safely. 

 Since then people came to know about this place and the movement started.  For the past few days, I am also living in this valley.  Tourism in this village located in the remote area of ​​Uttarakhand is negligible, but there are many tourist places. 

 To put it bluntly, this is a village that is exploring the possibilities of tourism itself every day and that is why An apple orchard is also developed.  The youth here believe that due to the development of the legendary Chaumasi Kedarnath foot track, tourists will come to their village and look for employment.

In order to try something new every day.  Many important works were done to promote track development and rural tourism at the local level and the people of the village planted 500 trees.
 

They will not have to leave their village and go out.  That is why everyone is trying to develop this place at their level, the effect of which is visible in a subtle way.  Thanks to the efforts of the last two years, more than 450 people have been safely tracked and big companies like India Hike are also showing interest in developing it.  Last year, he has sent about 18 people for tracking and Satyendra Midori, who is working with training from NIM, has done safe tracking of all. 

 An organization named Bastapac Adventure is also showing great interest in developing this valley.  Recently a tourist center has also been established at this place so that the tourists coming here can get the correct information about the valley.  People tell that earlier Kedarnath was reached from Chaumasi village only via Kham Bugyal and Lincoln, a large number of trekkers reach Kedarnath from this track even today.  People of the valley also use this route to reach Kedarnath.
