Ponniyin Selvan: Two reviews: A superb sequel.
I give it a 4/5.
Performances: .
Excellent and engrossing performances were given by each actor. Vikram enhanced the scenes by displaying good expressions and emotions and left a powerful impression. Compared to the first installment, he had a bigger presence on screen this time, and he was excellent in his role. Karthi, who amused audiences with his humorous and action scenes in the first installment, this time delivered a serious performance as his character required. In his portrayal of Ponniyin Selvan, Jayam Ravi acted the part gracefully and projected a regal, cool aura on screen.
In her role as Princess Kundavai, Trisha made an impression with her emotions and demeanor on screen. The movie has more glitz thanks to Aishwarya Rai, who plays a good role. Others who performed in accordance with their roles included Lal, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Parthiban, Shobita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj.
Technical parameters:.
This movie series has been Mani Ratnam's lifelong ambition, and he has put his all into every aspect of it, from casting to technical aspects. The first significant portion of the movie is devoted to setting up the characters and their roles. The main plot of the movie is contained in Ponniyin Selvan Part-2, which is the second part of the movie. The way the war scenes and other powerful scenes were made was exceptional. The whole movie has an interesting plot with a lot of interesting narration. The epic historical characters were expertly portrayed by Mani Ratnam, who has a good vision. He had long-term plans for this movie, and it was expertly and smoothly put into action.
Situational and melodic, A R Rahman's songs are popular.  All the songs are well shot in a beautiful manner highlighting the culture and tradition of Cholas in Tanjore and other regions. Rahman's intense soundtrack improved the scenes.
The cinematography by Ravi Varma is fair. The production values are outstanding, and the visual effects work is nice.

My Opinion:

People who watched and understood part 1 will definitely like part 2 Mani Ratnam sir has done a great job it was his dream project And for those who are saying bakwaas Hain all that....if you are a non tamil you will definitely not understand, if you really want to understand you have to read and understand history.....it is a replica of a best selling book back in 90's.... So if you expect a commercial film like bahubali then ull be disappointed ofcourse COMING TO THE MOVIE I'm a fan of Vikram Sir.... Aishwarya Ma'am she is beautiful we all know that but her performance is also as beautiful as her ❤️ Karthi and Trisha's chemistry is mesmerizing Jayam Ravi Sir for him this is a best role he ever got in his career i feel and he did not disappoint Raja Raja Chola is a compassionate, powerful, patient, yet smart king we have read it in school and jayam Ravi sir presented the same MUSIC it's the best thing actually what a music the music will always stay in my ❤️ Overall i got what i expected the movie is engaging not at all boring even for a minute
