Maharashtra has no shortage of tourist destinations. By the way Maharashtra is a state in India. The state is vibrant and exciting and has loads to offers in terms of entertainment. But, If you like solitude and wish to break free from the crowds and the pollution, simply head out on a road trip!
When most people will suggest you the route of Mumbai-Pune. But, there are several other routes that you can explore and has a scenic beauty and with a very different experience.

Nestled in the mountains of Sayhadri, its a 5-6 hours drive and you will love every minute of it. The lovely view of Westerns Ghats, waterfalls made by rains on roads, passing from strawberry fields will make you fell in love with the nature and its beauty.
Drive through the Mumbai- Goa highway to get to this scenic beach and destination. Alibhaug is quite famous for seafood and the beaches around it. You will find most of the Agri-Koli people staying there. The drive to reach over here is beautiful. Spend some quality time over the beautiful beaches and enjoy the sunset.
Its the hidden gem on the coastline of Maharashtra state, it is a 4hr and 30 min drive to Anjarle beach, a small port village known for its virgin beach. While at Anjarle, you can also take a ferry ride on savitri rive after this head out towards Malgund beach, 4 hours drive down the Maharashtra highway. Enjoy and relax a day at beach drive down the NH 66 for another 4 hrs to reach the beautiful serence Tarkali beach, there you can try out the snorkelling.
The meaning of Matheran is “Forest on the forehead” . It is a perfect getaway rom both Pune & Mumbai. Beautiful Scenic view of ghats, hills covered with greenery and waterfalls, drive itself is rejuvenating. Matheran is and automobile free hill station. It does not allow the entry of vehicles. You have to leave your car on the outskirts and make the forward journey on horseback or by foot. Try to visit both Echo and Panorama point.
