The City of Dreams. Offcourse our Lovely place Mumbai is called as the City of Dreams. Mumbai ….. many people come to city to fulfill there dreams and desire, but not everyone is aware of the facts . Mumbai is a city located in Maharashtra state in India. So today i am going to share some interesting facts about City of dreams of millions of crowd.
The first fact we are looking into is how Mumbai got its name changed from Bombay. To honour Maratha history and pay homage to the native deity Mumbadevi, the city got name formally changed from bombay to Mumbai in 1995.
2. The Second fact is Mumbai is India's Most populous city. It has a metropolitan population of more than 15 million people.
3. Unesco World Heritage sites in Mumbai.
The elephanta caves which is located on elephant island, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) OR Victoria Terminus, and several Victorian and Art deco structures are three of Mumbai's most popular world heritage sites.
4. Mumbai is made yo of seven islands.
Mumbai is a city which is made up of seven seprate islands that have been joined together to form a single city. The seven islands are Colaba, Mahim Parel, Worli, Isle of Bombay, Little Colaba, and Mazagaon arw among these islands.
5. India's First ever Local Train
India's first ever Train Ran from city of dreams. The first train was run by the Great Indian Peninsula Railway now it is known as central Railway between Bori bunder which is now known as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus CSMT and Thane, a distance of 34km, on 16th of April year 1853 at 15:35.
6. Entertainment Capital of India.
Mumbai is also known as Entertainment Capital of India because Boolywood, The world's largest Film industry is based out in Mumbai. The entertainment's kings and queens also resides in city of dreams. Mumbai is home to shooting venues, production departments and also every otherthings as well.
7. Wealthiest City of the Country
Mumbai is also the wealthiest city of the country India. While there are several slums and chawls, Mumbai is home to the greatest number of billionaires and millionaires in India.
