Sapiens “A Brief History By Humankind” by NUVAL NOAH HARRARI has to be my go to non fiction book of all times. You see its one of the book that makes you fall in love with within a read of 1 -2 page, it made you go wonders in your head about it and Sapiens s one of it

Here I am just going to give you a short summary that will give you an urge to find the book, placed an order and read it in first go. Indeed the book is little heavy to take when you read it first, but I think the author had made a fantastic effort to write it so subtle that even a beginner could just fall in love with the flair of writing. The gems of wisdom which the author talks is worth your time, energy and money(needless to say that)

Initially, the book takes you 4 billion years earlier where circumstances are very volatile in nature, very slowly the changes are taking place and then 2 million years later one chimpanzee had two baby daughter one became the mother of all chimpanzee and the second is our own grandmother

The book also briefly discussed the time when there were nearly ten cousin brother of species homo sapiens. Homo sapiens literally means wise man. Homo sapiens were just another species of men existing in the corner of Africa. And if it wasn't was for the cognitive revolution that happened some 70 thousand years back that  author briefly talks about there was a possibility that all of the cousin brothers we all lost with due course of time could still be amongst us.

The reason author claims for the cognitive revolution is gossiping and then gossiping leads to the development of fiction. And then the homo sapiens gained a power that was superior to all other species on the planet. Similar cognitive revolution lead to the exploitation of rich flora and fauna of the earth.

The Agricultural Revolution that occurred 10 thousand years ago transformed the entire nature course of homo sapiens. The limbs and the spine that stretched upright wasn't meant to developed for working in the fields for endless hours back and fourth, but the one thing that sure our ancestor was that not anymore they have to sleep empty stomach, beside now they are having permanent settlement, and number of diseases with them

Somewhat 500 years back the Scientific Revolution take place which made the men believe he is the creator on this planet earth, a creator that destroys and is unsure of what it really wants and what's going to make him happy?

I have tried to explain the three big revolution of the book in utmost shorter words which ultimately make no justice to the actual content inside the book. But the book ends with the question that many of us are still unaware or most probably have hardly given that a thought.

Lastly, this book is everything you need to gain a little perspective of who and what we are, and most importantly what are we are going to be like?
