Today I will share the famous Indian Historical love Story of Shahajahan & Mumtaz.

Shahajahan was the 4th Emperor of the Mughal Empire and grandson to king Akbar. He used to enjoy all royal liberties and luxuries. He was just 14 years old prince when he saw Mumtaz.

Once, as usual, taking a stroll through the celebrated Meena bazaar of the Agra Fort, he had a glimpse of a beautiful Persian girl selling handicrafts and jewelry. The first sight of this beautiful angel ignited a sense of love feeling in him.The beauty of the girl enchanted him and he started to stalk the girl.He was enthralled by the charm & elegance of the girl. Her name was Arjumand Bano Begum and she was the relative of his mother queen Noor Jahan. He rushed to his father and informed him about his love for that beautiful girl selling beads from Meena bazaar. However, they were too young hence, their wedding was postponed for few years and they enjoyed the period of their love affair. After 5 years Lovdbirds solemnly got hitched in the year 1612.

As per Shah Jahan, the wife was like a lucky charm for him, as after a few years from his marriage Shah Jahan captivated the throne of Mughal Empire winning over his four brothers and became arebel emperor of the great throne in 1628.

Mumtaz was so beautiful, witty and inteligent, hence king was falling in love with her with each passing day.His love was so much that he did not leave her alone even for a second. He used to take her along with him wherever he goes. From military camps, visits, trips everywhere she accompanied him like a shadow. They were inseparable and just swimming in the ocean of pure love like two swans.Their thirteen children were the proves of the love and bond they shared. She used to give him an advise on each and every decision related to court of the king.Decisions related to finance also used to be taken with the queen's consent. This love saga came to an end when mumtaz was giving birth to their 14th child. She fell sick and left this world leaving Shahajahan shattered. She took her last breath in King's Arms.

Shahajahan loved her so much that he built the most beautiful art and the symbol of love-The Taj Mahal in memories of his beloved wife Mumtaz.

The Taj Mahal is so stunningly designed, which is now an example of the truest and purest feeling called ’love’.

Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz lovestory is one of the immortal lovestory in the Indian History.
