Jaggery Is Good Or Bad For Health?

Hello guys! Today I am here with a new blog about advantages and disadvantages of jaggery. Hope you guys like my blog.

First of all let's discuss about advantages of jaggy :

  • Consuming jaggery is very healthy for our stomach. If you are suffering from any stomach related problems then you should consume jaggery daily in the morning. It strengthens our digestive system in order to run it smoothly.
  • Eating jaggery increases blood level in our body. People suffering from anaemia should consume jaggery daily in the morning on an empty stomach as it contains high amount of iron.
  • It is also good for our eyes as it improves our eyesight.
  • Having jaggery daily in the morning on an empty stomach make the hair thick and strong.
  • Eating jaggery is good for skin also. Consuming it on a daily basis glows our skin and also eliminates dark circles.
  • Consumption of jaggery aids in strengthening of our immunity. So eating jaggery is very good for our health.
  • Jaggery is also responsible for purification of the body. It also detoxifies our liver by flushing out harmful toxins from the body. People often consume jaggery after meals as it is a best natural cleansing agent for our body.
  • It also relieve menstrual cramps. It helps in releasing endorphins that relaxes our body before and during periods. It also cures mood swings and pre-menstrual syndrome.
  • It stimulates bowel movements and activates various digestive enzymes in our body. It prevents constipation in this way.
  • Jaggery is also beneficial for the treatment of flu-like symptoms such as cold and cough.
  • Jaggery also helps in controlling blood pressure because of the presence of potassium and sodium in it. It maintains acid levels in the body which also maintains normal blood pressure in the body.
  • It helps in reducing joint pain. It is good for people suffering from arthritis or any type of joint pain.
  • Eating jaggery daily helps in purifying blood. It aids in treating skin problems like pimples, acne, etc.

Although jaggery have many benefits for our health but there are some disadvantages too. Have a look on some of them :

  • Eating jaggery in excess can cause weight gain. Therefore it is better to avoid consumption of jaggery in large quantities.
  • Jaggery can increases sugar level in the body as it has high sugar content. Diabetic patient should not consume jaggery in high amount.
  • Eating jaggery in large quantity can cause bleeding from the nose.

So it is advised to eat jaggery in moderate amount to get better results.
