I welcome you all to my blog. Today I am going to share my thoughts on Koneru Humpy.

Koneru Humpy is a Female chess player of a Indian Chess Community. Who is also a World Rapid Chess Champion. She has a FIDE rating of 2586 till may 2021. She was born on 31st March 1987. Her peak rating is 2623 July 2009.

She is number one ranking on Indian Chess community of Female category.

Last night we got a tweet from her Twitter account that she is going to participate on Candiates 2022. She has been qualified through Grand Perix series 2019-2020. Only top two seeds were able to qualify to the Candidates. This might bring a huge happiness on Humpy fans. All the Indian Chess fans are waiting for this tounament and wish that Humpy might win the Candidates. After winning the Candidates she will be able to challenge the current Women World champion Ju Wenjun. Once Koneru Humpy beat Ju Wenju in championship battel,then will be the new Women World Champion.

She has won the online olympiad 2020-21. 

It was quite intresting tournament. You can able to check out the tounament on various platform. Best way to check out the games on youtube. Go through the games and not only enjoy the video but analysis the game. You may be able to improve your chess knowledge through that game. 

There after it is very necessary to you check the Armegadon of the world rapid Championship of Koneru Humpy. That game has a seperate fanbase on Indian chess. Hope you might also like that game.

Recently she had played an exhibition match at Chessbase India youtube channel. Where 5 time World champion GM Vishwanathan Anand and GM Koneru Humpy was in one team facing GM Vidit Gujarati and GM Harika Dronavalli. Its was very fun and exiting match where IM Sagar sha and Amruta Mokal were commentating on the their games. Unfortunately that game between GM Vishy Anand and GM Koneru Humpy Vs GM Vidit Gujarati and GM Harika Dronavalli had been ended in a draw. You must also check that intense game. Which was upoladed on Chessbase Indian youtube channel.

After Online Olympiad Humpy hadn't played much more game and she had to miss the Grand Prix series 2019-20 due to lockdown in India.

Hope her tounament goes well and will become Women world champion.
