5. Deathnote
Any weeb that knows 2 cents about anime knows the masterpiece that Deathnote is. A genius psychopath with a God Complex finds a mysterious book that can kill people. The storyline is very engaging and the characters are well written. If you want to start watching anime then Deathnote is definitely something you could start with.
IMDb rating - 9/10
4. Erased
Erased is actually one of the most underrated anime I've ever seen. It has beatiful animations and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. Although this anime just has a dozen episodes, its still very emotionally engaging. It starts out as a decent anime with a peculiar storyline but gradually engages you in it until you are totally engrossed by the end. This is a fantasy, mystery thriller so you can just pick one of these genres if you end up liking the show.
(Also there's a love story hidden in the anime that is absolutely guaranteed to break your heart.)
IMDb rating - 8.5/10
3. Jujutsu Kaisen
A new gen anime with ridiculously beautiful animations and fight scenes that pack quite a punch. If you were looking for an awesome action packed anime, well congratulations, because you just found one. Jujutsu Kaisen also has the potential to blow up in the cinemas like Ufotable's Demonslayer. The world building is beautiful and the storyline is diverse and interesting.
IMDb rating - 8.7/10
2. Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is another new gen anime series that has been developed by the same studio as Jujutsu Kaisen(Mappa) and so you can atleast count on insane fight scenes. But that's not all. The plot of Attack of Titan is genius, to say the least, and involves mind numbing character development and difficult decisions through out the anime. Definitely a binge worthy anime.
(Note: The content and animations in Attack on Titan may be considered disturbing by some people. Viewers discretion is advised.)
IMDb rating - 8.9/10
1. Naruto(And Naruto Shippuden)
Naruto is not just an anime but a whole spiritual journey on it's own. If you're thinking about really committing to anime then Naruto is a no brainer. Already being an anime with amazing and interesting story arcs, it also teaches us principles, values and consequences of life. Based on the way this show is perceived, watching it could definitely change your life or atleast unlock a new aspect of your life that you did not know existed.
IMDb rating(Shippuden) - 8.6/1
