Nowadays many people keep on scrolling our phones over what is posted on social media. This is really a very harmful because it creates a problem called intermittent concentration .
Children and adults suffer from these kind of concentration problems because we are constantly in the habit of scrolling our mobiles after few seconds.
We cannot switch off our mobiles for a very long time. its impossible for us.
Now that is very problematic.
People who are working in offices cannot scroll over their phones for a long time during office hours because thats quite not possible for them.
But if they get few minutes of spare time they keep scrolling over their mobile phones and that too on social media.
In olden days or just in the era before the android phones, people could concentrate on their actual social life, that is by connecting with people practically and meeting them. But now thats not the case.
I will like to outline few points to handle social media in a better way so that it does not take away life out of our lives…!!
First point is , we have to complete our daily tasks like eating, sleeping, toilet, household chores, exercise regularly andf after that if we get any spare time for social media scrolling then we can do that for not more than 20 minutes at a stretch. This can actually cause lots of concentration problems if we concentrate on mobile for more than 20 minutes at a stretch. So we have to concentrate on meaningful and more important work than social media scrolling.
Secondly, we have to keep mobile away from kids and teach them practical useful daily work which could actually help them develop a skill for leading a peaceful life.
Thirdly, increasing our involvement with people practically is more important than virtual connection. So that has to be achieved.
Fourthly increasing our connectivity with Nature is very very important. Having a brisk walk in the nearby park or going out for some relative visit or going out on travel close to nature is very very important. As much we expose ourselves to nature and people around us we can get that warmth and Natural touch to our lives.
And this can make our lives more meaningful and rewarding.
We all have been locked to our houses in the past few years because of the pandemic but now that we have survived the pandemic we need to get close to Nature and increase our practical connection with Nature and Life around. This can actually heal us from the mechanical life that we had got into for the past few years..!1
