So in today's blog I am going to share with you some exciting recipes made with a very nutrient and healthy fruit vegetable "Beetroot" Now many of you must have made that weird face after reading this.I know its not everyone's favorite vegetable but trust me guys try out these recipes yourself and then you would thank me for this I bet. So lets begin:
Beetroot Koshimbir: This is the easiest one out of all.
Ingredients: Grated beetroot, curd,chopped green chillies, Balck salt to taste, mustard seeds,pinch of hing and curry leaves for tadka.
Procedure: Mix all the ingredients as per your taste and add a tadka over it.The pink colored koshimbir will not only please your eyes and plating but also your palette.
Beetroot Chilla: This is a breakfast item.
Ingredients: Beetroot (grated or paste), Gram flour (Besan), Chopped tomatoes,coriander and green chillies, ginger garlic paste, salt to taste, ajwain seeds, Jeera,curry leaves and pinch of hing for tadka,oil.
Procedure: Take a beetroot paste or a grated beetroot in a bowl. Add gram flour as per quantity.Add chopped tomatoes,green chilies and coriander. Rub some ajwain seeds in hand and add to the mixture. Put some ginger garlic paste.Add water to make a thick batter.Add salt as per taste. Finish with a tadka of Jeera, curry leaves and hing.Once the batter is ready. Spread it on a hot and greased pan and shallow fry from both sides until cooked.Enjoy a delicious healthy breakfast option.You can have it with green chutney or ketchup.
Beetroot Pulao: Healthy one bowl meal.
Ingredients: Beetroot Paste, 1 cup Rice, 1 Sliced onions, 1 Chopped tomato, Coriander for Garnish, 3-4 Slit green chillies, ginger garlic paste, 2 bayleaf, 2 cloves, 4-5 peppercorn, small cinnamon stick, 1-2 elaichi,pulao masala/maggie masala, ghee,salt to taste.
Procedure: Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes. Meanwhile add ghee to cooker, once heated add all garam masala, add sliced onions, saute until golden brown, add slit chillies, ginger garlic paste and tomatoes, saute for 2 mins.Then add the pulao masala/maggie masala and cook until the oil starts leaving from sides.Then add beetroot paste along with rice and mix it well.stir fry for 2 minutes and then add boiling water twice the quantity of rice. Add some chopped coriander and pressure cook the rice upto 2 whistles.Your super healthy one bowl meal is ready.
