Human resource management mainly deals with managing the human resources in an organization. HRM recognizes or assumes that human resource is the most important asset to a business firm or an organization.
The objective of human resources management is to help the business firm or an organization to reach and achieve it's goal's. It ensures that the resources of the organization are effectively and efficiently getting used. It helps to identify as well as satisfy the wants and needs of the employees. HRM ensures adoring or respecting the human resource which is the most important resources for the firm. There should be quality of work for life, which is ensured by HRM.
Human resources has different stages of process.i.e, manpower planning, recruitment, selection, placement, training, development, promotion, transfer, performance appraisal and determination of remuneration.
Manpower planning can be basically regarded as the quantitative and qualitative measurements of staffs or labour required by the firm or an organization. It involves choosing the right people for the right job based on the specialization of that particular person works will be divided and alloted.
Recruiting means searching for a suitable employee and promoting them to apply to the jobs of the enterprises. In selection process applications will be filtered and eliminated. Right employee with required skills will be selected for the job. Next step is placement it means putting the person to the specific job position for which he is selected for. After placement the hired will be given some training about new job with various technological changes.
Later, development of the employees are concentrated because if employees are not having the opportunity to develop and get promoted they start lacking interest in the job and get frustrated. Promotion is the next process where upgrading the employee by giving him higher and responsible job position by increasing the pay scale as well as the work load. Transfer takes place later it means moving the employee from one Job to another without changes in the salary, status and work.
After this performance appraisal takes place which means evaluation of the performance of the employee, he will be appreciated if the work is perfect or else his works will be checked for the mistakes and those mistakes will be rectified and altered. Employees will be determined for their remuneration, they determine and fix the salary which is the most difficult function for the organization.
