A Big Thanks To Farmers

Farmers our “ANNDAATA” are the ones who grow different types of crops for us no matter what the weather is. From fruits, vegetables, wheat, milk.. all the essentials are being provided by them. This shows their hard work and dedication for the people of our country.

We usually never thought, when we were eating food that who actually grows, how is everything done, whose hard work is behind that. We never acknowledged our farmers who are actually the reason of our fulfillment of basic necessity of food and other dairy items.

Look at those lush green fields. This crop is standing because farmers spent their day and night to make it more productive. This is actually wheat crop which we used to make chapati at our home. Look at the span of time it will take for becoming golden brown, and the patience those farmers have. They take care their fields like a mother taking care of its child. They can't stop natural calamities but they put their 100% to save their crops by watering during day and even when needed in mid-night.

Eating cooked food is easy but producing that food is very difficult. It all needs good water supply, machines and equipment, fertilizers, seeds and last but not least hard work, dedication, day and nights. Those empty fields are of no use if you don't put efforts towards making them productive in one or another way. Empty fields are like “You don't get anything if you don't worked hard on them". have you ever thought that if there were no farmers, from where we will get food? If our country was not sufficient in producing crops, then option left was is to import food from other countries which will costs us very high.

Being from farmer's family I saw the struggle that farmers have to go through. Usually supply of power for farming activities have no proper timing. If it is in midnight they will go and water their fields. But still they are happy and satisfied that their crop will one day grow with full capacity. Talking about the harvesting season, there is always uncertainty of rain. The pressure they are having during harvesting time is so high that we can't predict that our crops will be saved from thunderstorm and rain or not. This usually happens during season of wheat. Because wheat doesn't require that much water. And other uncertainty is during season of rice crop. Rice needs more water, but during that season usually power supply is less and monsoon is also not there. So you can imagine how farmers have to manage everything for making crops available in the market.
