……………. Princess Luna gazed at the fruit with empty eyes and absolutely no emotions! Little did the crowd know that she even lost her appetite. Many men and many animals from far and wide tried their luck. But none of them succeeded. The princess was impossible to amuse. This attempt of forcefully putting a smile on the princess's face only made her sadder.

Luna became aloof and distanced herself from the king. She thought by isolating herself she was shielding the father from her sadness. She spent her days alone in the chambers. Luna stopped loving herself entirely and lost her appetite. Her yummy food couldn't interest her. The princess completely stopped looking at herself in the mirror. It reminded her of the day she was cursed. The princess stood alone in the balcony for days. The curse loomed over the entire kingdom like a dark cloud.

In the countryside, far from the castle, there lived a young man Erwin, who smiled no matter how hard life got. Erwin was a hardworking laborer who worked in a farm. His boss however was very generous and always appreciated him for his hard work. He would always stay happy, work harder and was thankful for everything he got. He was kind and very helpful. The following months in the countryside was rather harsh. A famine swept through the entire area. Farm animals grew weak, and crops died. But Erwin worked harder than ever before, and it borne the fruits of a lively, lush, green farm. The animals looked healthy and happy again. The boss was so much pleased by Erwin that he asked Erwin to take as much gold from him and go on a holiday. Erwin thanked the boss for the appreciation. He persevered and kept working hard with a smile on, even when the odds were not in his favor. Finally, it was the day for him to take a holiday and leave. He set for his journey with very little gold coins he had earned through his hard work.

He travelled through tall trees and beautiful ponds. He admired at the beauty of nature. On his way, he met a mouse who was short of money. The mouse wanted to buy some cheese for his family. The mouse asked Erwin for help. Erwin did not hesitate for a minute and handed the little mouse with one of his three gold coins. But then suddenly…………(will be continued)

What did Erwin see? Did he see something magical or danger? What about the princess, will she smile again?
