Well, I am an avid binger of sitcoms and have been watching them forever. I recently started (man I was years late..lol!) watching this show called Victorious because of Ariana Grande(btw huge fan). The show comprised of few teenagers attending an Art school when the lead also got an opportunity to join the same as her sister. I liked the comedy, songs and timings but the lead Tori kept overacting and Jade kept on shouting for nothing throughout the show(except when Cat pulled her eyebrows out LMAO do watch that episode ). The talent is amazing in this show, the singing, acting and all that jazz were good to watch but they didn't appeal that much to me. I would recommend it but giving it just 3 out of 5. The soundtrack was original and very pleasing when Andre sang with Tori most of the time. I wished all of them sang with Andre as much as possible and not exclusively with Tori lurking all the time in every situation. I understood they both wanted their music career but even Robbie, Ariana and Jade were good to go. Beck and Trina were a good set of timed actors.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy it but also waited for it to end on some days. The friendship amongst them actually kept me wanting more episodes. The teacher Sikowitz was an awesome addition and I giggled with his puns and comedy. Watching Ariana grow from here to Sam and Cat. I believe Sam and Cat would make you laugh more, keep wanting you to go back at it again and again. The lead Tori did a good job in her cameo in the show "iCarly".
I remember was of Sikowitz teaching Tori in 2nd episode that whatever decision we take should not be because others will like it, as actors the first step is what we like should matter to us the most. It did teach important lessons. Unlike the scenario in India, the kids in these shows are far better at knowing what they like and how to get it. The contracts by Andre, Tori and Beck were legit hard work. It showcased what they were good at.
I give the show 3/5 because Ariana was too cute, Sikowitz was awesome, Beck was handsome and actually a good and timed actor, Robbie and Trina too were a good set of actors and I did enjoy their work. I recommend watching it at least once.
I give credit to Google and Nickelodeon for the pictures I am using here.
