A lot of people might have told you to love yourself but how many of them actually told you what you should do to start loving yourself and enjoy your own company. Maybe a few or none. But do not worry here I am to tell you every possible thing that would certainly help you to love yourself.
Let's learn first why self-love is necessary. Self-love is a key to mental health and well-being. Self-love makes you accept yourself the way you are. People who love themselves are less likely to suffer from anxiety or depression. It motivates you to be a better version of yourself. Self-love is a realization that we are human and it is completely okay to make mistakes. It will make your life easier day by day.
First of all, make yourself a priority. It's not selfish. It is necessary. You can never be truly happy unless you prioritize yourself. When you'll start value yourself then people will value you. Do not be available 24*7 for anyone. Let them value your time. They will stop taking you for granted.
Learn to love yourself first then you'll be able to love others. Love yourself the way you love your loved ones, the way you care for them. Do you know why sometimes people do not give you importance? Because you do not give yourself importance. Let them know your priorities.
Reward yourself. Give a pat on your shoulder even when you accomplish little things in your life. Celebrate those achievements. Do at least one thing every day that makes you feel good.
Make a habit of doing things alone you will start enjoying your own company. When you want to do something do it whether you are alone or with someone else does not matter. Go restaurant alone once and order your favorite dish and enjoy it. Go watch the sunset and click beautiful pictures and share on Instagram. Go shopping alone once and buy clothes or whatever you love. Click selfies.
Groom yourself. Look good feel good. Wear clothes in which you feel comfortable and happy. Go get a new haircut. Buy accessories. Smell nice. Smile more. Drink a lot of water because when your skin will glow you'll be happier. Hone your interaction skills. Grooming plays a major role in increasing self-confidence.
Do some things for yourself. Buy good books and read daily. Watch your favorite series and good movies. Make a playlist of your favorite songs. Make some time for your hobbies. Time is precious. Do not waste a single minute of your precious time thinking about negative things or toxic people. If you do not have any hobby then make one. I can tell you'd be good at at least one thing. Find that and work hard on that.
Make a bucket list. Write every wish you want to fulfill one day. Make a list of your goals and also write how will you get that because that'll motivate you to work towards your goals diligently and consistently.
Trust the vibes you get, energy never lies. Talk to people with whom your energy matches. Make good friends who will support you who will bring positivity into your life. If you have at least one good friend then you are blessed. Enjoy your life. Spend quality time with your family too. Only they love you unconditionally remember that.
Self-love is not being selfish. It's just you are making yourself a priority. Accepting yourself the way you are. When you make mistakes do not worry you are just a human. Forgive yourself. Learn from your mistakes and never repeat them. It will make you wiser. Never be harsh on yourself. Give yourself time to adapt.
