Hi guys I am Akira, coming back here after a small gap so excited to share my new blog about the essence of homemade foods.
We all know about the changing preferences and the varieties of food available almost 24/7 we enjoy. Gone are those days when the lady of the house needs to cater everyone’s appetite and almost always stay in the kitchen hours together.
Let me tell you one thing - Cooking at home doesn't have to be complicated. Many people enjoy cooking their own meals; it gives us peace of mind, satisfaction, with a guaranteed cleanliness.
Due to hectic life schedules nowadays, people seldom cook at home and find a good reason to go out and eat or order food online of their choice. Though there are different choices when it comes to food, homemade food is the best choice - The World Health Organization recommends to reduce the intake of processed foods, because it is not freshly made and people do not know how long it is been in the freezer. Eating at our own kitchen table allow us to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables so that we can focus on all natural ingredients.
It's proven to be healthier. Some studies suggest that people who cook more often, rather than get take-out, have an overall healthier diet. These studies also show that restaurant meals typically contain higher amounts of sodium, saturated fat, total fat, and overall calories than home-cooked meals.
People get habituated and addicted to order food online and become lazy thereby become obese inviting all the health related issues. Not only their innovative thoughts are hampered they become inactive and fall victim for a sedentary lifestyle. So it is better to act now than repent later.
We can always plan our meals and customize it to enjoy everyday meal. Monday to Saturday maybe we can have different meals everyday like rotis with dal and curry every alternate days and rice with dal and curries, sambar, rasam to enhance our plate. We can add millets like ragi, jowar, bajra quinoa now and then to stay fit. At the same time we should'nt forget to use sprouts, lentils, whole grains in our diet. At the same time we should try to include more vegetables especially leafy ones. Sunday we may plan for special food especially when it comes to non-vegetarian, people crave for chicken, mutton, fist or other sea foods. Ultimately we should be satisfied with our food so that we stick on to home prepared food. We should see that it is not quite boring and occassionally we may go out to restaurants also with our family and friends. That's all my friends.
