✨♥️Hai guys♥️✨, Today we can gather some knowledge about Tamilnadu's treasure Tanjai Periya kovil🛕.
Tanjai Peruvudayar Temple (Big temple) or Tanjai Periya Koil (Samaritan: Birahadeeswarar Koil, Birahadeeswarar Temple) is a Lord Shiva temple located in Thanjavur on the south bank of Cauvery river in the Chola country.  The temple is also a World Heritage Site.  It is one of the largest temples in India[1] and is a testament to Tamil architecture and is one of the most architecturally impressive temples in India.  The famous Tamil Chola emperor Rajarasa Chola I built this temple in the 10th century AD [2].  The temple was started in 1003-1004 and completed in 1010. The year 2010 marked the completion of 1000 years of this temple.[3] This temple is the most important tourist attraction of Tamil Nadu.[4]  It was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1987.[5]  The temple, Gangaikonda Choleswarar Temple and Tarasuram Airavadeswarar Temple are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO under the name of Indestructible Cholar Temples.  The temple is also known as Thanjav Periya Koil[10], Periya Koil, Rasaraseshuvaran Koil, and Rasarasecharam.

Built by Rasarasa Chola I, the temple was initially known as Rasarasecharam and later as Thanjav Peruvudayar Temple[11].  It was also known as Prahadeeswaram when it was ruled by the Maratha kings in the 17th and 18th centuries.[citation needed]The Chola king, known as Rajarasa Chola I, built the Thanjavur Peruduyar Temple, which is a symbol of the Cholas` greatness.  The construction of this temple was started in the 19th regnal year of Rajarasa Chola I (1003-1004 AD) and was completed in his 25th regnal year (1009-1010 AD).  In the plan of the temple, the geometrical rules of symmetry and symmetry have been followed.  The temples built over the next two centuries bear witness to the wealth and art of the Chola period.  A novel feature of Chola architecture is the multifaceted pillars with square bases.

A testament to the unique Dravidian architecture, the Chola rule and the civilization of the Tamil people, the temple is also a fine example of the Chola's prowess in architecture, sculpture, painting and bronze sculpture.

Medieval Cholas
AD  From 985 to 1070 Chola art flourished and reached its peak.  A large number of temples were built during the medieval Chola period.  The construction of temples continued throughout the sprawling Chola Empire.  Many small structural arts there.
