In ancient times, the importance of women in our society was more than that of male.  At some point, the place of the woman had increased so much from the male that instead of the father's name, the mother's name had become the main and the formula of introduction.  The religious observer Manu showed importance by considering the woman as revered and revered -                                  यत्रनार्यस्तु पूज्यते, रभन्ते तत्र देवताः।’ 

That is, where the worship of the woman is prestige, the deities do Raman, that is, they reside.

Gradually, due to the intervention of time, there were some extraordinary changes in the condition of women.  She no longer belongs to the male but falls into the category of her counterpart.  If the man took care of the maintenance of the family, then the woman started to bear the burden of all the work inside the house.  In this way, there was a great difference in the work of male and female.  Even after this, the woman of ancient times abandoned her inferiority complex and became independent and confident and created a beautiful and attractive personality.  With the defeat of Shankaracharyaji by Pandit Mishra's wife, the names of students like Gargi, Maitreyi, Vidyottama etc. are notable in this category.

With the change of time, there has been a lot of change in the female condition.  In this way, the woman has been in the form of Bharata since ancient times.  For this, she was forced into the main tasks of the householder, such as preparing food, caring for children, serving her husband.  Being made a victim of inhumanity and being a commodity of purchase and sale, being forced to satisfy every hunger of the husband, has also become a special part of the woman's life.

As a result of the propagation of education, there is no longer the plight of women, which had become a result of some superstitions, orthodox ideology or ignorance.  In order to bring women parallel to men, social thinkers have started thinking and working in this direction.  Rashtrapati Maithili Sharan Gupta ji has said clearly about this topic-

'Not one, two two quantities, more than male.'

Women are becoming respected and respected in society today.  She is no longer the Lakshmi of the house, but has moved out of the house to fulfill the responsibility of the society.  She is working to improve the handicapped condition of the society by increasing her steps from the four walls of the house.  For this, she is challenging the male, acquiring the parallel position of the male.  Along with giving this experience to the male, she is filling her consciousness.  There is no lack of power and capability in women.  It is only late for the opportunity.  In this way, the place of women is more symbolic and prestigious in our society today.
