Memory loss is always a big challenge in everyday life. Especially the lack of memory becomes a big problem for students .We can develop some habits to eliminate this problem and can improve memory. If these habits are developed, it is possible to increase memory without the help of drugs.

Some habits that are required for increasing our memory are:

good sleep: -

Studies show that good sleep improves memory. Good sleep is essential for good memory. Get into the habit of sleeping on time every day. Those with sleep disturbances may later have difficulty for recalling old things. Sleep stimulates the active neurons in our body. It strengthens memory consolidation during sleep. An adult needs six to eight hours of sleep a day.

Foods that helps to increase our memory: -

In order for our brain to have good memory, we need to get enough energy for the brain. For this, whole grains, fruits and vegetables should be eaten in abundance. Avoiding junk food and excessive sweets can help improve our memory. Saturated fat is essential for brain cells to perform well.

Commonly available foods in our country that contain saturated fats are coconut oil, coconut milk, egg yolks, ghee, etc. But another thing to keep in mind is that if you are overweight or have high cholesterol, avoid these.

Daily consumption of foods rich in Omega 3 has good power to improve memory. Omega-3 is abundant in fish.

Other foods that must be included in our diet are fruits, green vegetables and garlic etc.

Activity: -

Try to engage in physical activity that sweats the brain just as our body sweats through physical exercise. For example, try playing games like crossword, chess, Sudoku.

Try to learn something new every day. Habits like reading and writing will help in increasing memory. Another thing to improve memory is, try to remember small numbers like our date of birth, year etc. Memorizing small numbers, dates in small form is an exercise for the brain which gradually helps us to gather our memory.

What do we think of as the connection between smell and memory?

By smelling we can increase memory. Every morning after waking up, we should take care to catch small things like a flower standing in our yard or things cooking in the kitchen and so on.

By this we can increase our memory power as well as start our morning with a good feeling.
