Hey!

If your days are just passing by and you are yet again looking for something funny and easy viewing then don't worry peeps I got you covered.
.
Drum-rolls, please! 🥁
.
Let me introduce you all to a gem of a short, funny but kinda realistic series - Kim's Convenience.
It is one of the most underrated sitcom. It is really really enjoyable, heartwarming and such a feel-good watch in total. I am so glad that I found it and you'll be glad too once you start watching it. The sitcom has in total five seasons, which may feel a little bit lengthy to watch but once you start, you will find it hard to stop watching it!
The story revolves around a Korean-Canadian family, the Kims, who run a convenience store in the Moss Park neighbourhood in Toronto. Parents, Appa and Umma of the house, have worked hard to raise their now twenty-something years old two kids, daughter Janet and son Jung in a culture which is not quite their own. Other characters who play the main role are involved in the lives of these four in some or the other ways. Basically, these four having individual lives along with the messy family time, but let's not spoil everything for you all ;)
The writers of the show have done a great work portraying characters in such a way that we can all relate and by all I mean ALL. The production is at its best. The members have been successful in catching our imagination and putting it on the screen with brilliant camera work.
This is a truly well-made show which very smartly shows the struggles and realities of a family as well as shows it entertainingly. Moreover, the show respects cultural differences and writers very well understand the sensitivity of the differences issues. All the characters are perfectly casted and you just cannot get enough of how domestic it is. It almost seems like a real-life documentary but funny.
It is both moving and hilarious at the same time! The interaction between family members resonates with many, in different ways. This show has the power to depict how sometimes differences between the younger and older generation can become amplified at times but in the end, the family is what matters and stays together. The little bit of the essence of Korean culture served to the viewer in different parts is just a cherry on top. The food of course is another reason (^^).
In conclusion, Kim's Convenience is one gem of a fun series which is easy to binge-watch. A lighthearted series to distract oneself from reality. Go give it a try people, you won't regret it ;)
