A very common quote we always listen to or see everywhere when we hear changes is “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” which is quoted by our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. What exactly it means? why change is important in human life?.
Let's read a story of The Elephant rope
One day a man was passing by an elephant which was tied by a rope. He stopped and was confused by the fact that this huge animal was tied by a fragile rope to its leg which wasn't tough to get rid of. It was obvious that the rope was not as hard as chains or cages, It could've escaped the ropes, yet for some reason, it never attempted to do so.
Then the person saw a trainer and asked him why this elephant never tried to break through and just stood there without attempting to getaway. The trainer replied, “well you see I'm looking after that elephant from very young and small size. It is used to that fragile rope I tied from a very young age, so it never tries to break free".The man was amazed to listen to it.
What do we understand from it ? well, we stop trying. The elephant had the strength and was able to break out its rope but never did. The same way we humans are when we think we can't do anything nor there is a way for us to come out of a situation, we get stuck. There we lose hope and never change . Even if it's not what we expected for, we get used to it.
A good change is important in every human life, like how our technology gets updated. Even we are supposed to live a life which we frame from a very young age or dream of. Age, people, society, family, friends, etc are not the hurdles, we are the ones stopping ourselves from adapting to change or reaching the heights we wish for.
It is hard for many of us to accept the change and the fact that many might criticize us for taking a step towards our dreams, we may lose loved ones, have to relocate unexpectedly, or have other life-changing things happen. However, it's worth giving it a try cause we are chosen to live a human life on this precious and beautiful earth. We need to learn how to cope with all these changes in a positive way.
Understand your situation, find a solution, grab the opportunity, take risks in your life and embrace the new changes.
“FALLING doesn't give a reason to give up as long as you BELIEVE".
