Hello friends, hope you all are doing well.

In today's blog, I will share some buying tips and how to build a healthy market base.

Some point that keeps in mind while buying products

  1. Always prefer packed and sealed products. Like cereals, grains, fat, oil, ghee, spices, nuts, etc.
  2. Always prefer fortified food products and look at the fortified logo. This is shown in the image.

3. Always buy eggs with clean and intact shells.

4. If you buy the meat then check that meat has pink flesh. If purchasing pre-cut or packed meat then always check the temperature and best before.

5. If frozen food is solid then always thaw( unfrozen) the required quantity.

6. Always check the can or bottle you buy is intact packed or sealed.

7. Always buy seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Some mistakes that you don't do during buying

  2. Don't buy loose milk or curd.
  3. While you go shopping always pick perishable food in last to avoid spoilage.

Build a healthy market base

  1. Buy whole-grain cereals, split legumes, and pulses that are rich in essential nutrients.
  2. Use a combination of chana, processed soy flour with wheat flour to enhance the protein quantity.

Note - whole grains are high in dietary fiber, low in fat, and rich in vitamin E, iron, selenium, zinc, and Beta complex vitamins.

3. Buy vitamin A and D fortified oil. Use 2-3 types of oil/ghee/fat for daily cooking.

4. It reduces the risk of heart disease.

6. Choose whole milk or cheese for growing children, pregnant and lactating women.

Note -Milk is a very good source of high-quality protein, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin B12.

7. Buy seasonal fish, and choose lean-cut meat.

Keep in mind

Your food may be adulterated with undesirable or harmful substances. Which can make you sick. So being a smart consumer means being able to identify that adulterant in food.
