How Did The Oceans Became Salty?

Hey Candlemonk family. I'm always curious about knowing things. I always wonder how things initiated and what all has happened to bring us what we have now. Out of my curiosity, I began to research, how come our seawater or the oceans are so salty. Something in me knew it couldn't be from the start. So what all happened? What brought us here with salty oceans. Let's get to know about it.

•Around 3.8 billion years ago, all water present on earth was freshwater.

•At that time the species of fishes and other aquatic animals and plants were adapted to freshwater.

•All the rivers, (which even today are freshwater bodies) and lakes had such species.

•Life was going on very smoothly for them, then someone's anger burst.

•It was none other than our VOLCANO!!

•When the volcano erupted, it splattered out lava(it does so even today, but how is it related to the oceans?).

•So when the angry volcano erupted, it spewed out millions of cubic meters of magma and hot gases.

•The angry volcano served a chemical cocktail of chlorine, fluorine, and bromine.

•The serving work was given to the clouds and they served by raining this cocktail all over the earth as acid rain. The storyteller in me just woke up😂.

Back to the reality:

•The lava is filled with mainly two chemical elements, silicon, and oxygen.

•These elements together form a very strong bond and then get together with other elements like iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and many more.

•It also contains a small number of mixed gases like water vapor, carbon dioxide, and sulfur.

•When the lava splatters and goes up in the air, many microparticles from it settle in the air.

•Volcanic eruption forms dark smoke too which is filled with these elements and gases.

•Clouds form with this dark smoke and water vapors.

•When it rains, the erupted particles suspended in the air, get trapped in water droplets and acid rain occurs.

•These rain droplets mixed with loads of elements, fell into the oceans and seas.

•Water even flowed from the crystalline rocks, freeing magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

•Chemical reaction with solid earth and rock acids began to form salts.

•We know all the flowing water gets mixed into the oceans.

•These Chemical elements got mixed into the oceans and seas and as a result, made them salty. Long process, isn't it 🥵 Then what about the fishes and other aquatic plants and animals?

•All the living beings go under evolution and when the habitats of these living beings changed, they evolved too.

 End of Curiosity?

 Nah!

Don't you wonder then why the rivers are freshwater bodies? Well, I know something about it too. Do you know the answer to it? Tell me in the comments.

I hope you found it interesting. Do tell me in the comments, your viewpoints.

Have a great day fam!

Natural Condensation itself converts the sea water into fresh water and we get it in the form of snow or rain on the mountain and ground. Natural Condensation is all source of fresh water on earth.
